August 2017 - With the exception of a single evening thunderstorm, this was a very pleasant tour leg. I had routed myself from north to south and back again to run state highways and country roads in each of the fourteen counties over two and a half days. Not every mile was paved, in fact I traveled several dirt roads and rocky trails. I even got the chance to "Ride The Wild" with a 20 mile after sunset trip that offered a new perspective to "back roads." If I ever find myself as the owner of a dual-sport bike I will certainly be back here.
There seem to be veterans memorials in every little town of Vermont. Each that I visited was well kept and obviously respected. Some of the stories I found while researching the names of the fallen confirmed that the contribution of Vermont's sons and daughters is undeniably significant.
Your assistance is needed
Can you offer a place to pitch my tent? One of the largest expenses of this tour is camping and lodging fees. I usually arrive at my campsite just before dusk and depart prior to 8:30 AM. Click on the "Contact" menu option to send me a message.
