2018 - Segment 1 Itinerary / MS

Three Westbound - Three Eastbound

2018 01 MSSix counties of Mississippi are on the first segment itinerary of 2018. The outbound leg will run along US-90, an absolutely beautiful run through the early springtime Azaleas. US-90 once was the main route of travel for all tourism and business traffic along the Gulf Coast. Now it is a congestecd mess throughout most of the daylight hours and everybody that needs to make distance in a hurry uses I-10, just two or three miles north of the scenic route.

On the return leg from Lousiana the first stop will be at Pearl River County, reaching it by riding over two state highways, and maybe even a county road or two. The legs from Pearl River will run north up US Route 11 and to eastbound along state route 26 to Wiggins and Lucedale.

The Lucedale stop will be the last planned stop of the first 2018 segment. I will wander back toward North Carolina in an attempt to enjoy some of the better twisty and scenic routes of Alabama and Georgia as weather allows.

Departure and arrival dates and times are always an estimate. If you plan to meet me at a particular monument, or want to ride along with me, you should  Email  or DM me on Twitter to get my cell phone number so I can update you on specific arrival times.
